New England Championship Wrestling comes to Hyannis for the first time on Saturday night, Saturday night, October 26th at the Hyannis Youth & Community Center, 141 Bassett Lane with a 7 PM bell time for CLASH ON THE CAPE.
In the main event, former NECW Heavyweight Champion, Slyck Wagner Brown battles the Canadian Sensation, Jeremy Prophet in a “Last Man Standing Match.” Brown & Prophet have been locked in a bitter feud for much of the past year. Their matches have been among the most intense athletics bouts in NECW history with neither man gaining a clear advantage over the other. In this bout, there are no count outs, no disqualifications, no pinfalls or submissions. The match continues until one man cannot get to his feet by the count of ten.
NECW Television Champion, Mashpee’s own, Johnny Thunder, puts his title on the line against “The Masshole” Mike McCarthy in a Cape Cod Lumberjack Match. In this bout, wrestlers surround the ring. Should either man be thrown or try to make their way to the outside, the wrestlers (the “lumberjacks” in this case) will throw the man back into the ring. In addition, should any man wish to try and get into the ring to interfere in the match, they will keep them out.
World Women’s Wrestling Champion, Alexxis Nevaeh will defend her title against arch rival and former champion, Mistress Belmont.
In other bouts, the 7 foot Giant Pharaoh returns to action in Hyannis, in a special handicap match. NECW Tag Team Champions, Mike Webb & Nick Farenheight battle former NECW Tag Team Champions, Cooley K and K MC, better known as Da House Party. There will be two more bouts to be announced. Matches presented on this night will be taped for television.
