New England Championship Wrestling presents its biggest event of the year as it celebrates its 14th anniversary with BASH 14 on Saturday night, September 6 at the Everett Rec Center, 47 Elm Street, Everett, MA with a 7 PM bell time.
All four of the company’s recognized championships will be defended and much more.
In the main event, NECW Heavyweight Champion, Brad Hollister faces the most intriguing test of his championship reign as he faces his trainer, mentor and former NECW Heavyweight Champion, Antonio “The Promise” Thomas. Thomas has made it clear that he feels he never lost the title and in his mind it’s still his. No one knows Brad Hollister as a professional wrestler better than Antonio Thomas who goes into this match in the ironic position of challenging his best student.
NECW Television Champion, “The Masshole” Mike McCarthy defends his title against his current arch rival, the high flying masked man, Todo Loco in a 2 out of 3 falls battle contested under “Loco Rules.” What are “Loco Rules?” The first fall of the match must be decided via pinfall. The second fall must be decided by submission. Should a third fall be necessary, it will be contested with no count outs and no disqualifications – in short, no rules at all. McCarthy lost the title to Todo Loco in Everett on June 13. He regained the title with the help of Beau Douglas at the Brockton Fair on June 28. Todo Loco decided to save his mandatory rematch for BASH 14 and challenged McCarthy to this special “Loco Rules” bout.
NECW Tag Team Champions, THE END (Mr. Siks and Jacob) managed by Mr. Tony Ulysses have been the most dominant team in NECW history. They defend their titles against former NECW Tag Team Champion, Nick Farenheight and a mystery partner. Farenheight has sought to regain the titles with a number of partners including the 7 foot Giant Pharaoh, to no avail. This could be Farenheight’s last shot at tag team gold.
World Women’s Wrestling Champion, Mistress Belmont, accompanied by Miss Sammi Lane and Toxis defends her red and gold belt in a one on one battle against up and coming star Davienne.
In a special grudge match, “The One Man Lynch Mob” Jack Maverick takes on “The Canadian Sensation” Jeremy Prophet.
Former two time NECW Heavyweight Champion, Sean Burke attempts to settle a score with the big Canadian star, Genesis.
In a special challenge match a newcomer to NECW, Native American star, The Tomahawk Kid makes his debut in Everett, while a star from years back, the British nobleman, Zaqary Springate III, makes a return.
And in a special grudge match, former NECW Television Champion, Johnny Thunder battles young rookie Tim Lennox. Thunder blames Lennox for costing him another chance at the NECW Television Championship, while Lennox is trying to hold his ground and establish himself as an up and coming star in New England Championship Wrestling.
Tickets for this event are $15 for adults. Children under 12 are just $10. Advance tickets can be charged by phone at 1-800-838-3006 or purchased online HERE.
