New England Championship Wrestling makes its return to live action with DOUBLE INTENSITY on Saturday night, April 11 at the Everett Rec Center, 47 Elm Street, Everett, MA with a 7:30 PM bell time.
Former NECW Heavyweight Champion, Slyck Wagner Brown, sidelined last spring with a knee injury, will be making his long-awaited return in the main event, taking on “The Masshole” Mike McCarthy in a #1 Contender’s Match. Both men expected to face NECW Heavyweight Champion, Brad Hollister, who will not be in action due to a pre-existing commitment. While it should be an epic match up between two great stars, they are not exactly happy that they have to face each other.
In January, NECW Television Champion, Beau Douglas vacated the title due to a serious back injury and on April 11, the two top contenders for that title will square off in one on one action with the winner being declared the new champion. Former NECW Television Champion, Todo Loco will battle “Sensational” Scott Levesque in a match where there must be a winner.
World Women’s Wrestling Champion, Mistress Belmont with Miss Sammi Lane in her corner, will face off against former champion Davienne. Davienne has already proven she can beat the wily Belmont and is confident that all she needs is another opportunity, which she will get on Saturday night, April 11.
NECW Tag Team Champions, THE END, managed by Mr. Tony Ulysses, have offered to defend the titles against any two men who wish to compete for them. Mr. Tony Ulysses believes that he has decimated the NECW Tag Team Division and no two men have a chance to defeat THE END. Who will step up and take the challenge? It will be revealed at DOUBLE INTENSITY.
In other bouts, “The One Man Lynch Mob” Jack Maverick battled the Canadian Giant, Genesis in a grudge match. Also in action, newcomers “Firewoirk” Foxx Vinyer and “Mind Eraser” Mike Garca will make their debuts, plus “All Good” Anthony Greene returns. (Card subject to change)
Tickets for NECW’s DOUBLE INTENSITY are $15 for adults at $10 for kids under 12. Advance tickets are on sale online by clicking here, or can be charged by phone by calling 1-800-838-3006.
